      <description>&lt;p&gt;The Warren County Historical Society will be at the 88th Annual Warren Counter Farmers&amp;rsquo; Fair, July 25th - August 1st, 2026.&lt;/p&gt;&#xA;&lt;p&gt;Find our booth in Commercial Exhibitor Building #2, spaces 39 and 41. Special thanks go to the staff of Rutherfurd Hall and the Rutherfurd Hall Foundation, and Foundation President Rosemary Tuohy, for all the accommodations and assistance with the event; to Mr. Tom Schiano and Mama’s Café Baci and Catering, Hackettstown, for partnering with us on the delicious food; Hop &amp;amp; Vine Liquors of Belvidere for partnering with us on the beverages; and the band Moetta for donating their time to serve as the evening’s entertainment.       <title>The Shoe Tree in Belvidere, Warren County, NJ</title>

      <description>&lt;figure class=&#34;float-right&#34;&gt;&lt;img src=&#34;https://warrencountynjhistorical.org/posts/shoe-tree/sign.jpg&#34;&#xA;    alt=&#34;Historical Shoe Tree Marker sign: Barefoot country folk sat under this tree to put on shoes before going to worship across the village green.&#34;&gt;&#xA;&lt;/figure&gt;&#xA;&#xA;&lt;p&gt;&amp;ldquo;Everything changes,&amp;rdquo; they say, &amp;ldquo;except God and Belvidere.&amp;rdquo; Pretty as a picture postcard, the tiny town of Belvidere, New Jersey (population about 2,681 according to the 2010 census), lies along the east bank of the Delaware River close to the Delaware Water Gap. &amp;ldquo;It is a serene and peaceful blend of finely maintained Colonial and Victorian mansions,&amp;rdquo; according to a Belvidere Chamber of Commerce &lt;em&gt;Victorian Days&lt;/em&gt; flyer dated September 10, 1988.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
